Coat and luggage check will be near the main registration area on level 4.

Wheelchairs and Scooters

The GWCC has manual push wheelchairs available for use by attendees while in the building. A credit card is required for a deposit; however there is no rental charge for use of the wheelchair. Wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be found at the Information Desks in Buildings B and C. FedEx Office Business Centers located in the main lobby of Buildings B and C offer mobility scooters and wheelchair rentals.

Shuttle Bus Service

Complimentary shuttle buses will run between the Georgia World Congress Center and designated MODEX hotels. Bus schedules will be posted at the Georgia World Congress Center and in each hotel. Hotels within walking distance of the Georgia World Congress Center will not have Shuttle Bus service.


Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) is Atlanta's public transportation system, comprising bus and rail lines. This transit system connects all parts of Atlanta, and a one-way bus or rail trip (including transfers) costs $2.00 + $1.00 will be added to any selected fare for a reloadable Breeze Card. MARTA also provides transportation from Atlanta International Airport. This MARTA station attached to the airport is accessible from baggage claim. MARTA also offers transportation to the Georgia World Congress Center. The MARTA stations closest to Building B, where MODEX 2016 will be held, are the W1 Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena station and the W2 Vine City station. Carey Atlanta is the convenient and secure alternative to airport traffic, parking costs and parking security concerns and daily rental car fees. Your driver can assist with your luggage and can meet you in terminal with passenger signage as an option. Make Reservation.


Atlanta Checker Cab provides transportation throughout the Atlanta metro area. Flat rates for transportation to and from Atlanta International Airport are listed below. For trips in and around Atlanta, meter rates apply ($10.00 base rate in the Convention District plus $2.00 for each additional passenger (not metered). Flat Rate to/from Atlanta International Airport:
Downtown: $30/person ($2 for each additional passenger)
Midtown: $32/person ($2 for each additional passenger)
Buckhead: $40/person ($2 for each additional passenger)


There are multiple options for parking near Building B at the Georgia World Congress Center. The Red Deck, the Gold Deck and the Green Lot, are the closest to Building B and have an attendant on duty during event hours. Parking costs $10 for an all-day pass. Please note that these parking areas do not allow re-entry; once you leave the lot an admittance fee will be required to enter.
