Regional Sales Manager - relocation not required

Handheld is a manufacturer of rugged mobile computers specifically designed to handle the rigors of outdoor use. Handheld’s broad product line includes rugged handhelds, tablets and notebooks.
The overriding responsibility of Regional Sales Manager position is to continue Handheld’s sales growth. Specifically, this role will include the following responsibilities:
Create a sales plan for assigned territories, markets, and accounts
Generate and qualify leads
Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
Make sales calls to new and existing clients
Participate in sales events such as trade shows
Add to and maintain leads, contacts, and clients in our customer database
Develop and make presentations of company products to potential clients
Support and maintain regular contact with existing clients
Maintain sales activity records and reports
Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships
Monitor and report on sales activities to management
Monitor competitors and market conditions in order to inform company product development
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
3-5 years experience selling in rugged mobile computing markets
The ideal candidate will have sales experience with rugged laptops and tablet computers
Proven track record of opening new markets and new customers
Knowledge of peripheral technologies such as GPS, RFID, 802.11, bar code scanning, and cellular networks
Good written and verbal skills and exceptional presentation skills
Energetic and adaptable. Goal oriented.
Ability to provide tier 1 level sales support.
Minimum 25% domestic travel required. Will attend customer presentations and trade shows as needed
